About Ed Allan

I was born in Timmins, Ontario, and my family later moved to Elliot Lake in the late 1950s before settling in.

Toronto in the early 1960s. My parent's home was at 25 Taylorwood Drive (Edenbridge/North Drive) in Etobicoke. I went to Buttonwood Public School, Hilltop Middle School and Scarlett Heights Collegiate Institute High School. Those early moves instilled adaptability, resilience and a strong appreciate for community values that continue to guide me today.

I hold a General Business Diploma (Humber College) and come from a family background grounded in professionalism and service. My father was a dentist, originally practicing in Toronto at the Medical Arts Building (262 Bloor Street at St. George Street) before relocating his dental practice to Cumberland Street (Yorkville the bohemian era) in 1967. Growing up around a practice built in trust, reputation, and long-term relationships shaped my own approach to business and client service.

I abstained my Real Estate License in August 1977 - the same day Elvis Presley passed away, a date forever etched in history. Since then, real estate is built on effort, knowledge, and consistently earned over time.

I believe, outside of work, I am passionate about collecting guitars and listening to music from the 1950s to late 1970s, and era defined by authenticity, craftsmanship, and substance. I enjoy travelling throughout the northeastern United States - especially New York City, Boston, and Philadelphia with a particular appreciation for Woodstock, New York, and the Luthier Showcase, which celebrates fine guitar making and Vancouver - British Columbia (Snow Snowshoeing) Grouse Mountain, Cypress Mountain and Whistler.

Closer to home I have spent time in Muskoka, at my parents' former cottage, staying connected to Ontario living and the importance of balance.
